The PQIA now adds four more Consumer Alerts to the list of motor oils recently purchased in the Midwest that can cause harm to automobile engines. These products include:
It should be noted that this is not the first time the PQIA has issued Consumer Alerts on these brands. In fact, this is the thirteenth time PQIA has issued Consumer Alerts on lubricants marketed under the Everclear brand.
Whereas PQIA has brought this issue to the attention of the Attorney General’s office in Ohio (the State where the Everclear brand is manufactured), the product continues to be observed on the shelves in the Midwest and elsewhere. It has, however, been ordered off the shelves in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Department of Agriculture’s Fuel & Measures Division, and in North Carolina by the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
In an effort to help protect consumers, the PQIA will once again reach out to the Ohio Attorney General’s office regarding the Everclear motor oils manufacturer in Ohio.
