Steigerwald to Represent ILMA on the Panel Discussion at the PQIA Lubricant Quality Summit

John Steigerwald, President, BECHEM Lubrication Technology and Former Chair of ILMA’s Ethics Committee will join the distinguished panel of speakers at the PQIA Lubricant Quality Summit in Cleveland, Ohio on September 14, 2017. The panel will discuss what is being done and what more can be done to address non-compliant /off-spec lubricants in the market.

John Steigerwald has been in the specialty metalworking fluid, grease, coating and lubricant technology and service industry for 40 years. He spent the first 20 years with Cincinnati Milacron Products Division, where he held various management positions in the technical, marketing, business development, sales, divisional and operation management areas.

He has spent the last 20 years working in the private business sector with niche lubricant technology companies. He is currently president of BECHEM Lubrication Technology, which was a joint venture he was instrumental in forming in 1999.

Steigerwald has been very active in many technical, business and trade groups in the industry, including the Independent Lubricant Manufacturers Association (ILMA) where he chaired several groups, including the Ethics Committee for over 12 years. He served on ILMA’s Board of Directors and was president 1994-1995. He is a recipient of ILMA’s Distinguished Service Award.

Steigerwald has also been active in the Society of Tribology and Lubrication Engineering (STLE); the Precision Metal Forming Association (PMA); and, the Society of Manufacturing Engineering (SME).

Steigerwald graduated and was recognized as outstanding senior in his major from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Industrial Engineering and Business.
