Tractor Hydraulic Fluid Labeling

In July of last year, the National Conference on Weights and Measures (NCWM) voted on, and passed amendments to NIST Handbook 130 (HB-130). Among the approved changes, was amended language to both the Uniform Regulation for the Method of Sale of Commodities and the Uniform Fuels and Automotive Lubricants Regulation sections on Tractor Hydraulic Fluid (THF).

Marketers of tractor hydraulic fluid and buyers should be aware of the changes in that the new regulations took effect January 1, 2020.

Click on the PQIA Quick Reference Guide on the right for an overview of some of the regulations pertaining to THF. This guide provides excerpts from HB-130 relating to THF.  Users of the guide are advised to refer to NIST Handbook 130 for the official and complete text of the regulations.
