CDFA DMS Pre-Rulemaking Webinar Regarding Motor Oil [Obsolete and Special Purpose Classifications] (AB 808)
California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) is conducting a series of pre-rulemaking webinars to solicit additional input from stakeholders to assist with the development of regulatory language. CDFA encourages stakeholder to ask questions and provide comment. The rulemaking process will be reviewed during the webinar.
The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA), Division of Measurement Standards (DMS) will conduct product focused pre-rulemaking webinars to further refine proposed regulatory language to amend California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 4, Division 9, Chapters 6 and 7 to refine, clarify, and make consistent the specifications, standards, advertising, labeling, and method of sale requirements for MOTOR OIL (TO ADDRESS “OBSOLETE” AND “SPECIAL PURPOSE” CLASSIFICATIONS) with changes and revisions made by AB 808.
The webinars are being offered to provide additional comment opportunities for impacted stakeholders regarding the Department’s proposed regulation.

On May 12, 2016, the California Department of Food and Agriculture, Division of Measurement Standards will conduct a workshop to develop regulatory language to further refine, clarify, and make consistent the specifications, standards, advertising, labeling, and method of sale requirements for fuels, lubricants, and automotive products under its jurisdiction.
