Advisory: The results of the tests conducted on this sample meet the SAE J300 specifications for the SAE Viscosity Grade listed on the product label, and are consistent with the API SJ Service Category. It should be noted, however, that API SJ motor oils are intended for use in vehicles built prior to 2002. Although not stated on the labels, consumers should be aware of its limited use. Further, whereas the labels state, “For use where an SJ motor oil is recommended,” and “is compatible with API approved engine oils,” the labels do not claim this product actually meets any API Service Categories.
